Q. What is the difference between a sunroom and a patio enclosure?
A. A sunroom and a patio enclosure are, in fact, synonymous. Thes terms describe living spaces that are transitional with the out-of-doors. They are casual living spaces where you have the comforts of home together with an outdoor, relaxing feeling. A patio enclosure gives you more of a tradition room with more walls than windows but half the cost of an addition. A sunroom gives you more of the outdoors feeling with all the windows so you can see the beauty of the outside from inside.

Do you offer a warranty?
A. Yes, all of our products have warranties.
Q. How long does it take to install a new sunroom or patio enclosure?
A. Most sunrooms or patio enclosures can be completed with 30 days. Sunrooms and patio enclosures install times may very depending on permits, funding, and special designs.

Q. I don't know if I can afford a sunroom or new windows, do you offer financing?
A. We sure do. We offer financing with competitive interest rates
that our salespeople would love to tell you about when visiting you
in your home. Just ask!
Q. Do you have references in my area?
A. Yes. We have many references available in various areas of
Southern California. All of the pictures on our website are of
actual installations we have completed. If you would like to see our
work in person please make sure to tell us what city you would like

Q. How long does it take for windows and or doors to be installed?
A.
The length of time depends on each situation and the number of
windows and/or doors we'll be installing. Our installation crews are
the cleanest, most professional, knowledgeable, and efficient
installers in the industry. The quality and care we take is
unsurpassed. An average home can take as little as a day with a crew
consisting of 2-4 men. Other companies could take up to two days due
to lack of experience, knowledge, and expertise. Our goal is to not
inconvenience our homeowners and to offer the highest quality
available.
Q. What type of warranty do you offer on the windows and on your
installation?
A. all products Galkos Construction sells carry a lifetime warranty and a full three year
warranty on our labor.

Q. What happens in the event of rain?
A. We will reschedule your installation. There are many hazards when
working in the rain with vinyl, glass, and electrical tools. We
cannot guarantee that you will be re-scheduled for the next
available dry day, but you will be given top priority. During the
rainy season we constantly check the weather forecast in order to
give homeowners as much advance warning as possible.
Q. I work and cannot be home during the week, do you install on
Saturdays?
A. Yes we do. We strive on taking care of our customers and we know it is difficult to miss work during the week. We are available 7 days a weeks to meet everyones needs.
Q. What is Low E glass and how does it work?
A. Low E stands for low emissitivity. It is a technologically
advanced glass that utilizes a microscopic coating to reflect heat
and block ultraviolet rays.
Q. Why do some vinyl windows turn yellow over time?
A. One major factor in vinyl integrity is whether or not a window is
made of only virgin vinyl. Some manufacturers will heat up the vinyl
resin to extrude a window frame and once the frame has been cut will
remelt the scraps to extrude again. This compromises the vinyl
integrity. Each time the vinyl is reheated at such extreme
temperatures it becomes weaker and therefore susceptible to UV
infiltration. Another major factor is whether or not the
window manufacturer includes titanium dioxide in the vinyl. Titanium
dioxide strengthens the vinyl to protect from UV infiltration.
Q. Why should I buy my windows through a dealer,
when some manufacturers allow me to buy directly from
them?
A. When it comes to manufacturers there can be a world of difference
between one company and the next. You should be aware of small
companies that sell directly to consumers because they aren't
subject to all the same regulations that larger manufacturers are.
Smaller companies are less likely to be around for the warranty that
they offer.
